Your Pisces 2017 Career: Miller.

Your Pisces 2017 Career: Miller.

Alright, so we’re talking about 2017 and Susan Miller’s take on a Pisces’ career. Man, that was a year, wasn’t it? I remember stumbling onto her forecasts, not really a believer, but you know how it is. You’re feeling a bit lost, a bit uncertain about your next move at work, and someone mentions “astrology for career.” My ears perked up, I won’t lie. I was a Pisces, and 2017 felt like a big year for shifts, so I thought, “Why not give it a read?”

I started digging around online, trying to find her full 2017 career forecast for Pisces. It wasn’t hard to find, she’s everywhere. I remember grabbing a cup of coffee, sitting down, and just devouring it. She talked a lot about opportunities popping up in unexpected places, especially mid-year. She mentioned things about networking, making new connections, and how these contacts would open doors. I was like, “Okay, cool, but what does that even mean for my job?”

At the time, I was stuck in a bit of a rut. Been at the same place for a few years, feeling undervalued, underpaid, and frankly, a bit bored. The daily grind just felt… grimy. So, hearing about “unexpected opportunities” got me thinking. Was this a sign? Was I supposed to just wait for something to fall into my lap, or actually do something about it?

The Dive In: My “Practice” Begins

So, I started to actually “practice” what I thought her forecast was hinting at. The first thing I did was reluctantly update my LinkedIn profile. Yeah, I know, super groundbreaking. But for me, it was a big deal. I’d avoided it for ages. Then, I started going to these industry meet-ups. Not because I thought they’d instantly land me a job, but because Miller kept hammering on about “connections.” I figured, alright, if the stars say connect, I’m gonna connect.

I was never one for small talk, felt awkward as hell, but I pushed myself. I went to three different events in the first couple of months of 2017. Shook hands, exchanged cards, mumbled about my work. Nothing major came of it right away, just a bunch of polite nods and empty promises to “keep in touch.” I was starting to think this whole astrology thing was a load of bunk. But, I kept reading Miller’s updates, checking in each month. She kept reiterating the same themes: patience, planting seeds, and that something big was brewing for the fall.

Then, around May, something actually happened. I got an email from someone I’d met at one of those awkward meet-ups. He remembered me talking about a specific project I’d worked on, and his company was looking for someone with that exact experience. My heart actually skipped a beat. This was it, right? The “unexpected opportunity”?

Riding the Wave: Applying the “Predictions”

I jumped on it. Updated my resume again, tailored it specifically for that role, and went through a couple of interviews. The whole time, I was thinking about Miller’s words. She talked about showing initiative, about how Pisces would need to actively pursue these new paths, not just wait. So, I tried to embody that. I prepared like crazy, practiced my answers, even thought about my “personal brand” – something I’d scoffed at before.

The first round of interviews went well. Second round, too. I was actually excited, which was a feeling I hadn’t had about work in years. It was a smaller company, but the role was exactly what I wanted to do more of. More challenging, more autonomy, and frankly, better pay. It felt like a true alignment with what Miller had hinted at – a fresh start, a new direction. This was a move away from the “old” and into something “new and vibrant,” as she’d put it.

Then came the negotiation phase. Miller also mentioned being bold in asking for what you’re worth. I’m usually terrible at this. I tend to just accept whatever’s offered. But armed with her forecast buzzing in the back of my mind, I actually pushed back a little on the initial salary offer. Not much, but enough to feel like I was taking her advice seriously. And guess what? They met me halfway. I was floored.

The “Record”: Looking Back at 2017

By September 2017, I had officially started my new job. It felt amazing. Everything about it was better than my previous gig. The team, the projects, the whole vibe. Looking back, it really felt like the entire year unfolded in a way that echoed what Susan Miller had written. Was it just a coincidence? Or did reading her predictions actually give me the mental push and confidence to seek out opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise?

I think it was a bit of both. Her forecasts weren’t specific enough to be a roadmap, obviously. They didn’t say, “Go to the networking event on May 15th and talk to someone named Bob.” But they painted a broad picture, set a tone, and gave me a framework to interpret things. It made me more observant, more open to possibilities, and honestly, less scared to take a leap. I probably wouldn’t have updated my LinkedIn, or gone to those awkward meet-ups, or even negotiated my salary if I hadn’t had that astrological “permission” or nudge.

So, yeah, my Pisces 2017 career journey, guided by Miller’s words. It wasn’t magic, but it felt pretty damn close. It taught me that sometimes, even if you don’t fully believe in something, if it gives you the confidence to take action, that’s what truly matters. It got me unstuck, and for that, I’m still grateful for that crazy year and those forecasts.
