Worried about your career for Pisces in July? (Read this to feel better fast).

Posted on 01/12/202501/12/2025 By Luna Rivers No Comments on Worried about your career for Pisces in July? (Read this to feel better fast).

Man, July. You know how it is. Mid-year drag. You’re already feeling a bit blah about work, and then one of your well-meaning but totally annoying friends decides to send you a screenshot of some crap horoscope about your career. Yeah, the one for Pisces. That was the start of it all.

I swear, that headline, “Potential Unforeseen Turbulence for Pisces Careers This July.” It stuck in my head like a bad song. I spent a whole Tuesday feeling totally paralyzed, just staring at my screen, thinking about every bad decision I’d ever made in my professional life. Every delayed promotion, every project that went sideways. It was a disaster inside my brain.

I realized this was pure trash. Relying on the stars to fix my future felt pathetic. If I wanted to “feel better fast,” as the promise went, I had to snatch back the control I’d just handed over to some vague writer on the internet. I decided my practice would be simple, brutal, and totally concrete: A three-day, deep-clean career inventory.

The Decision: Three Days of Career Sweat Equity

I shut down all social media notifications. I pulled out an old notebook, the kind with the cheap spirals. I didn’t even open a single work file. This wasn’t about current projects; it was about my value, my market, and my actual accomplishments over the last eighteen months. I had to prove to myself that I was still worth hiring.

The whole process went down in three phases.

Phase 1: Scrubbing the LinkedIn Dumpster Fire (Day 1)

I cracked open my LinkedIn profile first. Holy cow. What a mess. The summary looked like I copied it straight out of a textbook from 2008. It was all about “passion” and “synergy.” Total amateur hour. I had to completely dismantle it.

  • I scraped the entire “About” section and rewrote it from scratch.
  • I focused only on quantifiable results. No more “responsible for team management.” I changed it to, “Drove Q3 initiative that secured a 15% efficiency gain.” That hits harder.
  • I then updated all my previous job titles, ensuring the description section under each had at least two strong, active verb-led bullet points. I spent about six hours just on this, making sure it was punchy and not preachy.

When I was done, I closed the laptop, feeling tired but already lighter. That sense of dread had started to lift because I had done something real instead of just worrying about future-turbulence.

Phase 2: The Résumé Re-Structure and Brutal Cuts (Day 2)

Sunday was reserved for the sacred résumé. Mine was always too long, full of fluff and old skills I hadn’t used since the Obama administration. This was a battle of cutting and refining.

I printed out the old version. Seeing it on paper somehow made the mistakes look bigger. I took a red pen and literally crossed out anything that was: (a) older than five years, or (b) something I wouldn’t want to talk about in an interview. I deleted three whole paragraphs worth of unnecessary text.

  • I chose a simple, standard format. Forget the fancy graphics. This isn’t a design competition; it’s a document designed to be read by busy people.
  • I refined the core skill section. I removed outdated software names and added two critical new frameworks I’d just finished studying.
  • I scrutinized every single word, asking: Does this add value or just take up space? I spent the better part of the day just formatting and reformatting, making sure the document looked professional and read clean.

By the time I saved the final version—a lean, mean one-page document—the difference in my head was huge. I held a tangible, up-to-date document that represented my current professional power. Not bad for a Sunday.

Phase 3: The Cold Outreach Test (Day 3)

This was the hardest test of all. Action over anxiety. I had to put myself out there, even if just a tiny bit. I decided to send three cold, polite, and totally genuine emails to three people in my industry I respected but hadn’t talked to in years.

  • I chose a former colleague who had recently moved to a cool company.
  • I chose a senior leader I met at a quick virtual event last year.
  • I chose an old mentor who I’d let drift away.

I wrote the emails. They were simple. No begging. No asking for a job. Just saying, “Hey, I saw your recent project on X, that’s great work. I’m doing a quick career reset and would love to just catch up for 15 minutes of virtual coffee sometime this month.” I kept the pressure low. The goal was connection, not conversion.

I hit Send on all three before I could chicken out. My stomach flashed with nerves for about two minutes, and then… nothing but quiet satisfaction. The practice was done.

The Final Tally and The Fast Relief

It wasn’t magic, and it wasn’t astrology. But that paralyzing worry about “unforeseen turbulence” vanished. Why? Because I took charge of the things I could actually control.

I didn’t need the stars to tell me what to do. I needed to stop waiting and start working on my own defense system. By the end of Day 3, I had a polished profile, a killer résumé, and three networking lines cast out. Guess what? Two of the three people replied within 24 hours. The third replied the next day. I scheduled two virtual coffees within a week.

You want to feel better about your career fast? Stop reading the forecasts and start fixing your foundations. That feeling of competence you get when you realize you’ve just fully updated your own market value? That’s the real anti-anxiety medicine. It works every time.
