I’ve always been curious about card – asking, you know, like those tarot cards or oracle cards. So, I decided to give it a shot myself.
First off, I went to a local bookstore. I wandered around the shelves, looking for a deck of cards that just ‘felt right’. I picked up a few, shuffled them a bit in my hands, and finally settled on a tarot deck with really cool artwork. It cost me about $25, not too bad.
Then, I got home and sat down at my kitchen table. I took the cards out of the box, and they smelled a bit like new paper. I started by shuffling them, kind of haphazardly at first. My hands were a bit shaky because I was excited. I shuffled and shuffled until I felt like the energy was all mixed up.
Next, I decided to ask my first question. I thought about something that was bothering me at work – whether I should take on a new project. I held the cards in my hands, closed my eyes, and really focused on the question. I said it out loud a couple of times, like “Should I take on this new project at work?”
After that, I laid out the cards in a simple three – card spread. I was so nervous to turn them over. When I did, the first card showed a person standing at a crossroads. It was like it was directly related to my question! The second card had a picture of a stormy sea, which made me think there might be some difficulties. And the third card showed a rainbow after the storm, suggesting that it might be worth it in the end.
I spent the next hour or so looking through the guidebook that came with the deck. It was a bit confusing at first, but I started to piece together what the cards might mean. I also did some online research to double – check my interpretations.
Over the next few weeks, I kept practicing. I asked different questions about my relationships, my health, and my hobbies. Each time, I got better at shuffling, asking clear questions, and interpreting the cards. I even started to notice patterns in the cards that would come up when I asked similar types of questions.
Now, I’m no expert, but I’ve definitely learned a lot. I’ve found that the key is to be really clear with your questions, trust your intuition when interpreting the cards, and practice as much as you can. And it’s been a lot of fun! I’ve shared my experiences with some of my friends, and a couple of them have even started asking cards themselves.
