I’ve always been curious about tarot, especially the yearly tarot spreads. So, I decided to try out some popular ones to see which one is the best.
First, I picked the Celtic Cross spread. I shuffled the tarot cards like a pro, trying to focus my thoughts on the upcoming year. Then I laid out the cards one by one according to the pattern. It was quite a complex spread with ten cards, and each card represented different aspects like the present situation, challenges, and future possibilities. But decoding all those cards was a real headache! I spent hours looking at the symbols and trying to connect them to my life. In the end, I felt like I got some insights, but it was so detailed that I was a bit overwhelmed.
Next up was the Wheel of the Year spread. This one was based on the different seasons and cycles of the year. I shuffled the cards again and dealt them out in a circular pattern. As I turned over each card, it was like looking at a snapshot of each season. For example, the card for spring seemed to suggest new beginnings and opportunities. It was easier to understand compared to the Celtic Cross, as it was more straightforwardly linked to the time of the year. I really enjoyed seeing how the cards mapped out the different phases of the year.
Then I tried the Three – Card Yearly spread. It was super simple. I just shuffled the cards and pulled out three. One represented the past year, one the current year, and one the future year. It was quick and gave me a general overview. It was like getting a summary of my life’s journey in just three cards. But it was also a bit too basic. I felt like it didn’t dig deep enough into the details.
After trying these three popular spreads, I’ve come to a conclusion. If you’re a newbie to tarot, the Three – Card Yearly spread is a great start. It’s easy and gives you a quick look at the big picture. But if you have some experience and want a more in – depth analysis, the Wheel of the Year spread is pretty good. It combines the concept of time with tarot insights. And for those who are really into tarot and don’t mind spending time on complex interpretations, the Celtic Cross spread can offer a wealth of information.
So, which yearly tarot spread is good? Well, it depends on your level of experience and what you’re looking for. Give them a try, and you might find your favorite one!
