I’ve always been into tarot, and lately, I’ve been super curious about which dream tarot spread is the best. So, I decided to do some hands – on exploration.
First off, I gathered all my tarot decks. I’ve got a few different ones, like a cute cat – themed one and a more traditional – looking one. I shuffled the cards real good, making sure to mix them up thoroughly. I wanted to get a random draw for each spread.
I started with the Three – Card Dream Spread. I laid out the cards one by one. The first card was supposed to represent the past influence on the dream. It showed a little guy walking away from a big tower. I thought, “Hmm, maybe there’s something in my past that I’m leaving behind in my dreams.” The second card, for the present situation in the dream, was a card with a bunch of flowers. I guessed it meant my dream was in a kind of peaceful and beautiful state right now. The third card, for the future outcome of the dream, was a card with a ship sailing on the sea. I figured my dream might be heading towards a new adventure.
Next, I tried the Five – Card Dream Spread. This one was a bit more complex. I laid out the cards in a cross – like shape. The middle card was supposed to be the core of the dream. It was a card with an old man sitting under a tree. I thought that maybe the essence of my dream was about wisdom or taking it easy. The cards on the left and right were for external factors affecting the dream. One was a card with a storm, and the other was a card with a rainbow. I guessed there were both good and bad things influencing my dream from the outside. The cards at the top and bottom were for internal emotions related to the dream. One was a card with a crying face, and the other was a card with a laughing face. So, I had mixed feelings about my dream inside me.
After that, I did the Seven – Card Dream Spread. This one was really a handful. I laid out the cards in a long line. Each card had a different meaning, like the start of the dream, the obstacles in the dream, and the hidden meanings in the dream. One of the cards showed a locked door, which I thought might be an obstacle in my dream. Another card showed a key, so maybe there was a way to overcome that obstacle.
After trying these spreads, I compared the results. The Three – Card Spread was quick and easy, giving me a general idea of my dream. The Five – Card Spread gave me more details about the external and internal factors. The Seven – Card Spread was super detailed but also a bit overwhelming.
In the end, I decided that if I’m in a hurry and just want a quick peek at my dream, the Three – Card Spread is the way to go. But if I have more time and want to dig deeper, the Five – Card or Seven – Card Spread can be really useful. It all depends on how much time I’ve got and how much I want to know about my dream. And that’s my whole experience of trying out different dream tarot spreads!
