So, I decided to go to a gypsy fortune – teller and ask a yes – or – no question. First, I had to find one. I asked around in the local market, and some old lady pointed me to a small tent on the outskirts of the town. I walked there, feeling a bit nervous and excited at the same time.
When I got to the tent, I took a deep breath and stepped inside. There was an old gypsy woman sitting at a table with a big crystal ball in the middle. She looked up at me and motioned me to sit down. I sat down across from her, my heart pounding.
I cleared my throat and told her, “I’ve got a yes – or – no question for you.” She just smiled and said, “Tell me, child.” So, I asked my question. It was about whether I’d get that job I’d applied for. She stared into the crystal ball for a while, mumbled some words that I couldn’t really understand, and then she started to shuffle a deck of cards.
She laid out the cards one by one in a strange pattern. I was sitting there, watching her every move, trying to figure out what was going on. After a few minutes, she stopped and looked at me. She didn’t say anything right away, which made me even more anxious.

Finally, she said, “The cards say yes. But remember, fortune is like the wind, it can change direction.” I was kind of relieved to hear that, but I also knew what she meant. Things aren’t always set in stone.
I thanked her and left the tent. On my way back home, I was thinking about what she’d said. I mean, was it really true? Could a bunch of cards and a crystal ball really tell my future? But then again, it gave me a bit of hope.
After a few days, I got a call from the company. And guess what? I got the job! I don’t know if it was really the fortune – teller’s prediction or just a coincidence. But it was a pretty interesting experience, that’s for sure. Maybe I’ll go back and ask her another question someday.
