So, I decided to check out Pisco y Nazca DC Restaurant Week. First off, I booked a reservation online. It was a bit of a hassle, you know, clicking through all those pages, making sure I got the right date and time. But finally, I got it sorted.
When I got to the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly hostess. She showed me to my table and handed me the menu. I started looking through it, and there were so many options! I mean, I had no idea what to choose.
I decided to go for the tasting menu. I thought it’d be a good way to try a bunch of different things. The waiter came over and took my order. He was super chatty and gave me some tips on the dishes.
The first course came out. It was this little appetizer, some kind of ceviche. I took a bite, and man, the flavors were amazing! It was fresh and tangy, and I could taste the lime and the fish. I was like, “This is gonna be a great meal.”
Next up was the main course. I got the lomo saltado. It was a big plate of steak, fries, and onions. The steak was cooked just right, nice and tender. And the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I was stuffing my face, I tell you.
For dessert, I had the tres leches cake. It was so moist and sweet. I was like, “How can something be this good?” I finished every last bite.
Throughout the meal, the service was top-notch. The waiters were always around to refill my water and check if I needed anything. And the atmosphere in the restaurant was really cool. It had this Latin American vibe, with the music and the decor.
After the meal, I paid the bill. It wasn’t too expensive, considering all the food I had. And I left feeling really satisfied. I’d definitely go back again during the restaurant week or any other time.
So, if you’re thinking about going to Pisco y Nazca DC Restaurant Week, my advice is to go for the tasting menu if you can. Try different dishes, and don’t be afraid to ask the waiters for recommendations. And most importantly, enjoy the food and the experience!
