So, I got this new tarot deck. First, I took it out of the box. It was all shiny and new, and I was super excited. I held it in my hands, kind of feeling its energy.
Then, I decided to give it a little shuffle. I shuffled it like I was playing cards, but I made sure to do it gently. I was thinking about all the possible meanings and messages these cards could hold.
After that, I laid out the cards on my table. I just wanted to have a look at them one by one. There were all these cool pictures on them, like wizards, stars, and weird creatures. I started to try to guess what each card might mean just from looking at the pictures.
Next, I picked up a book about tarot. Yeah, I know, it’s like cheating, but I needed some help. I read about the general meanings of each card in the deck. It was like opening a door to a whole new world. I was like, “Wow, this card means this? That’s so cool!”
Once I had a basic understanding, I decided to do my first tarot reading for myself. I shuffled the cards again, really focusing on a question I had in my mind. Then I drew three cards and laid them out in a simple spread. I looked at the cards and tried to connect what I had read in the book with my own situation.
It was kind of hard at first. I wasn’t sure if I was interpreting the cards right. But I kept at it. I compared my thoughts with what the book said and thought about how it could apply to my life. And you know what? It started to make sense!
After that first reading, I was hooked. I started doing more readings, not just for myself but also for my friends. They were curious, so I shuffled the cards for them, did the spreads, and told them what I thought the cards were saying. Some of them were really into it, and some were a bit skeptical, but it was all fun.
As I did more and more readings, I got better at it. I could see patterns, and I could trust my own intuition more. I even started to notice that the cards seemed to give me different messages depending on my mood and the situation. It was like the tarot deck was alive and talking to me.
