Well, when I first heard about the 58 iching, I was like, “What the heck is that?” But I’m always up for trying new things, so I decided to dig into it and find out.
I started by asking around. I talked to my friends, some of them were just as clueless as me, but a few had heard of it. One of my buddies told me that I should check out some books at the local library. So, I headed there and spent hours looking through the shelves. I found a couple of books that seemed to have something about the 58 iching, and I borrowed them right away.
Back home, I sat down and started reading. The books were a bit hard to understand at first, you know, with all those old – fashioned words and strange concepts. But I kept at it, and slowly, I began to get the gist of it. It seemed like the 58 iching was some kind of ancient divination system, kind of like a fortune – telling thing.
I was really curious then, so I decided to try it out. I followed the instructions in the book. First, I had to prepare some coins. I used three regular quarters I found in my piggy bank. Then, I had to shake them in my hands, thinking about a question I wanted an answer to. I asked, “Should I take that new job offer?”

I tossed the coins on the table and wrote down the results according to the rules in the book. It was a bit confusing at first, trying to figure out what each combination of heads and tails meant. But after a while, I managed to match my result with one of the hexagrams in the book.
The interpretation in the book was kind of vague, but it seemed to suggest that taking the new job would be a good move. I was still a bit skeptical, but it got me thinking. I mean, it’s not like I could just rely on this coin – tossing thing completely, right?
I also talked to an old guy at the local coffee shop. He said he’d dabbled in the iching before. He told me that it’s not really about getting a definite answer but more about getting some insights and perspectives. He said it could help you think about things from different angles.
After all this, I still haven’t made a decision about the job offer. But the experience of exploring the 58 iching was really interesting. It made me realize that there are so many old – school ways of thinking and doing things that we might have overlooked. And who knows, maybe there’s some truth to it, or maybe it’s just all in our heads. But it’s definitely worth a try if you’re into that kind of stuff!
