So, I’ve always been a guy who’s struggled with fear. You know, that feeling that just grabs you by the throat and won’t let go. I was always looking for ways to deal with it, and then I came across Osho’s teachings about fear.
I started by reading some of Osho’s books. I mean, just opening those books was like opening a door to a whole new world. I sat down, opened the first page, and began to absorb what he had to say. He talked about how fear is often just a creation of our minds, a kind of self – imposed prison.
I decided to put his ideas into practice. First, I started to observe my fear. Every time I felt that knot in my stomach, that racing heart, I’d stop and really look at it. I’d ask myself, “What am I really afraid of?” It was like shining a flashlight into the dark corners of my mind. For example, I used to be terrified of public speaking. So, when I got that fear before a presentation, I’d pause and analyze it. I realized that I was afraid of looking stupid in front of others.
Then, I followed Osho’s advice to face my fear head – on. Instead of avoiding public speaking, I signed up for more speaking events. I took a deep breath, walked up to the podium, and forced myself to talk. It was hard at first. My hands were shaking, and my voice was a bit wobbly. But with each presentation, I felt a little less scared. According to a study, people who face their fears directly are 70% more likely to overcome them in the long run.
Another thing I did was to practice meditation as Osho suggested. I’d sit quietly for 15 minutes every morning, just focusing on my breath. It was like a mental reset button. It helped me calm down and see my fears more clearly. It’s like cleaning the fog off a window so you can see outside better.
As time went on, I noticed a big change. The fear that used to control me started to lose its grip. I was more confident in public speaking, and I was also less afraid of trying new things. I was no longer that guy who was held back by fear. I had learned to look at fear as just a feeling, not a life – sentence.
So, if you’re struggling with fear, I’d say give Osho’s ideas a try. It might just change your life, like it did mine!
