It was tedious work, just slogging through gigabytes of files. But seeing my library slowly fill up, with all the posters and descriptions – that was a real reward.
But the problems weren’t over. I started getting random disconnects. The server would just drop off the network. Turned out, that “refurbished” network card was a dud. It would overheat and just quit. Back to the drawing board. Ended up buying a brand new one, shelled out a bit more cash, but it was worth it for the stability.
