Pisces Ganeshaspeak Weekly: Check In!

Pisces Ganeshaspeak Weekly: Check In!

Man, life used to feel like just one big scramble, you know? Just running from one thing to the next, always feeling like I was playing catch-up. My brain was a mess, always buzzing with undone tasks, worries about this, worries about that. I felt scattered, like my thoughts were just little bits of paper flying in the wind. I’d finish a work week utterly drained, only to dread the next one before it even started. It wasn’t sustainable, and I knew it was messing with my head, my mood, everything.

How I Started This Whole “Check-In” Thing

I remember one particularly rough patch. Everything felt heavy. I was just fed up with the constant mental noise. I stumbled across some folks talking about “checking in” with themselves, like a proper weekly review, but with a bit more of a spiritual twist. They called it “Ganeshaspeak” – about clearing paths, getting rid of obstacles, and finding some inner wisdom. And being a Pisces, I’ve always leaned a bit into that reflective, intuitive side anyway. So, I figured, why not give it a shot? What did I have to lose besides another hour of aimless worrying?

My first attempts were, well, a disaster. I’d grab a notebook, sit down, and just stare at a blank page. What was I even supposed to check in about? Should I write down my to-do list? My feelings? Both? I felt silly, honestly. I’d doodle for a bit, get distracted, and then tell myself I’d try again next week. It wasn’t sticking because I had no clear path, no actual process.

Figuring Out My Flow

It took a good few months of hit-and-miss tries before I started to piece together something that actually made sense for me. I’d try it on a Saturday morning, then a Sunday evening. I tried it with fancy pens, then just a cheap ballpoint. Eventually, I landed on a routine. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine. I started by setting aside a specific time, usually Sunday mornings, right after I’d had my coffee but before the house fully woke up. That quiet time was crucial.

Pisces Ganeshaspeak Weekly: Check In!

  • First up, the purge: I just opened a notebook – a specific one, just for this – and started writing down everything that was swirling in my head. No filtering, no judgment. Just getting it all out on paper. Annoyances, worries, brilliant ideas, random grocery items I needed. Everything.
  • Then, the look back: After that brain dump, I’d take a moment, a real deep breath. Then, I’d read through what I’d written. I’d also flip back through the past week’s daily jottings, if I’d done any. I’d specifically look for patterns. What made me stressed? What brought me joy? Where did I get stuck?
  • Next, the “Ganesha” part: This is where I’d think about obstacles. What was blocking me last week? Was it my own procrastination? Someone else’s actions? A lack of clarity? I’d acknowledge these blocks and, importantly, think about what small step I could take to try and move past them. Not solve everything, just one small step.
  • The “Pisces” dive: This was the feeling part. I’d ask myself, “How do I actually feel, deep down?” Not how I should feel, but really truly feel. What did my gut tell me about the week ahead? What did my intuition say I needed more of, or less of?
  • Finally, the plan: With everything out and acknowledged, I’d then set three simple intentions for the coming week. Not a huge to-do list, just three things I wanted to focus on or accomplish, tied to those deeper feelings or obstacles. Maybe it was “spend 30 minutes outside every day,” or “have that tricky conversation,” or “dedicate an hour to that personal project.”

What I Actually Do Now

So now, my Sunday morning ritual is pretty dialed in. I grab my old, slightly battered notebook and a pen. I make sure my coffee is hot, and I find a quiet spot, usually the living room couch looking out the window. Sometimes it feels like a chore to sit down, but I know how much better I feel afterward.

Morning Ritual:

I start by just sitting for a minute, taking a few slow, deep breaths, just trying to settle my busy mind. Then, I flip to a fresh page and begin to just write whatever comes to mind. It’s like clearing out a dusty room. I empty out all the clutter from the past week and the anxieties for the next. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes, sometimes more if it’s been a crazy week.

The Questions I Ask:

Once the brain dump is done, I go back and read it. Then, I go through a few key questions that have really helped me focus. I literally write them down and then write my answers below them:

  • What truly worked well last week? What felt good, what accomplishments did I have, big or small?
  • What felt stuck or didn’t go as planned? What were the snags, the frustrations?
  • What’s one thing I can let go of from last week? This is huge for me, just releasing something I can’t change or that doesn’t serve me anymore.
  • What do I need more of this week? Energy? Patience? Quiet time? Connection?
  • What’s one obstacle I can focus on chipping away at this week? Just one, to not overwhelm myself.
  • What are my top three intentions for the coming week? Not tasks, but intentions. How I want to feel or what I want to embody.

I don’t force the answers. Sometimes they come quickly, sometimes I just stare at the page for a while. The point isn’t perfection; it’s the reflection, the act of acknowledging and processing.

The Impact It’s Had

Honestly, this whole “Pisces Ganeshaspeak Weekly Check-In” has become a non-negotiable part of my life. It doesn’t magically solve all my problems, far from it. But it stops the endless churn in my head. It gives me a moment to pause, to truly see where I’m at, and to realign myself before another week starts. I feel more grounded, less reactive. I tackle my weeks with a bit more purpose, even if things still go sideways sometimes. It’s like having a compass; even if the weather’s bad, I still know which direction I’m generally headed. It just makes such a huge difference to my overall sanity and well-being, and that’s something you can’t put a price on.
