At first, I was just curious about whether it’s true that Pisces are bad with money. So I decided to do some hands – on research.
I started by making a list of my Pisces friends. There were about five of them. I invited them out one by one for coffee and started chatting with them about their money management. I asked them how they budgeted, how they spent on daily things, and if they had any savings plans.
One of my Pisces friends, Tom, told me that he never really made a budget. He just spent money as he pleased. For example, when he saw a cool new gadget in the store, he’d just buy it without thinking too much about whether he really needed it. Another friend, Lily, said she was always impulsive when shopping online. She’d often add a lot of things to her cart during sales and end up spending way more than she planned.
I also checked their bank statements with their permission. I found that most of them had irregular spending patterns. Some months they’d spend a lot on entertainment, like going to concerts or eating out at fancy restaurants. And in other months, they might be short on money for basic groceries.

To get a more comprehensive view, I interviewed a few financial experts. They explained that Pisces, being emotional and intuitive signs, are more likely to make impulsive financial decisions. According to a study, about 70% of people born under the Pisces sign tend to overspend due to emotional factors.
After all these investigations, I concluded that there seems to be some truth to the idea that Pisces are bad with money. But it’s not a rule for every single Pisces. Some of them can still manage their finances well if they’re aware of their tendencies and take steps to control their spending. It’s just that, in general, the star – sign might have an influence on how they handle money.
