Career Horoscope 2017 Pisces Money Outlook (What Did the Stars Say About Your Finances)

Look, I know what you’re thinking. 2017? That’s ancient history, right? Why am I digging up a seven-year-old astrology prediction for Pisces money stuff?

The truth is, I’ve had this specific internet article title stuck in the back of my mind. It’s like a weird little challenge I unknowingly set for myself back when I was totally broke and pretty desperate. This isn’t just about stars and planets; it’s about a terrible time in my life and a bizarre coincidence that pushed me to make a huge decision.

The Starting Line: Broke, Skeptical, and on the Ropes

This whole practice kicked off in early 2017. I had just walked away from a corporate gig that was sucking the life out of me—the burnout was real, man. I had zero savings and honestly, I was barely making rent. My mental state was trash. I was scrambling for any job, any lifeline.

I was doom-scrolling online, probably looking for cheap recipes or something, and I accidentally clicked into one of those garbage click-bait articles: “Career Horoscope 2017 Pisces Money Outlook.” I was a total skeptic, but hey, when you’re that down, you’ll read anything, right? I remember reading the whole thing and scoffing. I even took a screenshot of the key financial section, purely to mock it later. It was just another piece of internet nonsense.

The prediction said, and this is what got stuck in my head: “Expect a major financial shake-up in the first half of the year, potentially involving a significant loss, but watch for an unexpected source of income to materialize from an unusual area, likely tied to communication or media, but it demands a big risk and a sharp move away from the status quo.” I rolled my eyes so hard, my head hurt. A ‘major loss’ was already happening—my bank account. An ‘unexpected source’? Yeah, right.

The Practice Begins: The Unconventional Leap of Faith

But here’s the unexpected twist that turned the stupid horoscope into a blueprint. Right after I read that, I saw an email about an opening. It wasn’t a corporate job. It wasn’t even a stable freelance gig. It was an absolutely insane, niche opportunity to write and manage a content site for a really strange, specialized industry that nobody had ever heard of. It paid virtually nothing to start. It was the definition of an ‘unusual area tied to media.’

My gut, my bank account, and every person I talked to told me to run the other way. They all said, “Go back to a stable office job.” But that phrase from the horoscope—”it demands a big risk”—just kept echoing in my head. I was already at rock bottom. What more did I have to lose?

I went against all conventional wisdom. I ignored the safe job offers. I dove headfirst into that weird writing gig. I literally printed out the entire screen grab of the horoscope and stuck it on my fridge, half as a motivator, half as a joke proving how desperate I was.

The next few months were hell. I endured the “loss” that the stars mentioned. I had to drain what little remained in my savings to keep the lights on. I almost gave up a dozen times. But I kept showing up. I mastered the niche. I built the audience. I learned how to monetize content from the ground up. I was so busy surviving and practicing this new skill set that I completely forgot about the prediction on the fridge.

The Documentation and Comparison: Years Later

Fast forward to a couple of days ago. I was finally cleaning out an old, ancient hard drive and what do I find buried deep in a 2017 folder? The actual screen grab of the whole damn article!

I pulled it up on my big monitor. I was running a successful operation based exactly on that weird little site I started seven years ago. The money outlook is completely different now, thankfully. I actually compared every line item from that article against my actual financial records, which I keep religiously in a spreadsheet.

Here’s what I documented from the source against what actually happened (the real record of my practice):

  • The Stars Said: “Mars influence suggests a significant, short-term financial dip early in the year, related to a stubborn past commitment.”
My Record: My old job severance ran out, and I had to cough up money for an old lease break. Check. A painful dip, right on time.
  • The Stars Said: “Jupiter offers long-term financial growth tied to self-initiated projects focused on sharing knowledge.”
My Record: The weird niche writing gig turned into a blog, which then turned into a successful subscription service and consultancy—all focused on sharing knowledge about that niche. Massive Check. This is literally my main income source now.
  • The Stars Said: “The key to success is embracing communication channels you previously ignored.”
My Record: I was only focused on print/traditional media before 2017. I had to completely embrace email marketing and YouTube for the first time ever to make this project work. Nailed it.

The Conclusion: The Real Takeaway

Honestly, when I finished that comparison and saw the correlation, I just sat there dumbfounded. I don’t know if I subconsciously used the horoscope as my secret business plan or if it was just random luck. It doesn’t matter.

The ultimate practice wasn’t about the stars, was it? The real practice was using that reading as a blunt instrument. It drove me to stop second-guessing and start pushing. It forced me to take the leap when every rational bone in my body was telling me to stick to the safe, dead-end path. I needed something, anything, to say ‘Go!’ and that goofy horoscope was it.

My takeaway from this whole goofy retrospective? Sometimes you need an outside force, whether it’s a legit mentor, a financial advisor, or some weird old article, to give you the permission to move. It doesn’t matter what the push is, as long as it gets you to hit the ‘go’ button and actually start putting in the work. You gotta make the move.

I tore up the printout of the reading years ago, but the screenshot… that stays. It’s a trophy from when I decided to just jump.
