Hey, guys! I’ve been on a journey to figure out if I can change Pisces toxic personality traits, and I’m here to share my whole experience with you.
First off, I started by really getting to know what these so – called “toxic traits” of Pisces are. I talked to a bunch of Pisces friends and read a ton of online forums. Some common ones I heard were being overly sensitive, moody, and a bit too escapist.
I decided to start with the sensitivity issue. I made a conscious effort to not take things to heart right away. When someone said something that would usually make me sulk, I forced myself to take a step back. Instead of reacting immediately, I’d count to ten in my head. This simple act of pausing helped me a lot. For example, one day my friend made a joke about my new haircut. In the past, I would’ve been really upset, but this time I just laughed it off.
Next up was the moodiness. I realized that my mood swings were often related to my lack of a routine. So, I started to set a daily schedule. I’d wake up at the same time every morning, exercise for at least 20 minutes, and have a proper breakfast. This routine gave me a sense of stability. There were days when I still felt down, but having a schedule made it easier to snap out of it. I remember one day I was feeling super low, but because I had my workout planned, I forced myself to go for a run. And you know what? After that run, I felt a whole lot better.
The escapist trait was a tough one. I tend to daydream a lot and avoid facing problems. To deal with this, I started to write down my problems. Whenever I felt like running away from a situation, I’d grab a pen and paper and write about what was bothering me. Then, I’d come up with a list of possible solutions. For instance, I had a problem with paying my bills on time. Instead of ignoring the due dates, I wrote down all the bills, their due dates, and set reminders on my phone.
As I went through these steps, I also talked to a few experts. One psychologist I spoke to said that changing personality traits takes time and consistency. He estimated that it could take at least 3 – 6 months of continuous effort to see significant changes. And he was right! It wasn’t an overnight process, but slowly but surely, I started to notice a difference in myself.
Now, I’m not saying I’ve completely changed all my toxic Pisces traits. But I’ve definitely made progress. I’m less sensitive, less moody, and more willing to face my problems head – on. So, if you’re a Pisces looking to change some of those so – called toxic traits, I’d say give it a shot. It might be a long journey, but it’s definitely worth it!
