Well, I’ve always been into tarot cards, and I decided to try out a 12 – month tarot spread. First, I gathered my tarot deck. I just grabbed my favorite one from the shelf, you know, that well – used deck that has a kind of special vibe.
I then cleared a space on my table. I moved all the junk aside, like old magazines and random pens, and made sure it was clean. I lit a little scented candle, not because it’s some super – important spiritual thing, but it just makes the whole atmosphere a bit nicer, you feel me?
Next, I shuffled the cards. I shuffled them real good, like I was trying to mix up all the possible futures. I shuffled for a few minutes, thinking about the whole year ahead, all the hopes and fears I had.
After shuffling, I started laying out the cards for the 12 – month spread. I did it one by one, following the pattern I had learned. Each card represented a month. As I placed each card, I was like a detective, trying to figure out what it might mean for that particular month.
Once all the cards were laid out, I started analyzing them. I didn’t have a super – fancy guidebook. I just used my common sense and what I had learned from past readings. For example, if I saw a card with a happy – looking character, I thought, “Hey, this month might be pretty good!” And if there was a card with a stormy scene, I was like, “Oh boy, this month might have some rough patches.”
But here’s the thing, the cards don’t tell the future for sure. They’re more like little hints. So, I took notes on what I thought each card meant for each month. I wrote it all down in a little notebook, so I could look back later.
As the months passed, I kept referring back to my tarot spread. And you know what? Some of the predictions were surprisingly accurate. There were months that were as smooth as the happy – looking card suggested, and some that were as bumpy as the stormy one. But there were also times when things didn’t match at all. And that’s okay, because life is full of surprises.
Based on my experience, experts say that tarot spreads are more about self – reflection and getting a different perspective. They’re not set in stone. So, if you’re thinking about trying a 12 – month tarot spread, just have fun with it, take it with a grain of salt, and use it as a way to think about your year ahead.
