Well, I decided to start raising pigs and fishes on my small farm. First, I went to the market to buy some piglets. I carried those little guys back to my farm with a lot of effort. They were so cute and lively, always running around in the pigsty I built for them.
After that, I had to figure out what to feed them. I asked some old farmers in the neighborhood, and they told me to use a mix of corn, soybeans, and some vegetables. So, I started to prepare the food every day. It was a bit of a hassle, but seeing those pigs grow bigger and fatter day by day made it all worth it.
Then came the fish. I dug a small pond on my farm. It was really hard work, shoveling the dirt and making sure the pond was deep enough. Once the pond was ready, I went to the fish store and bought some fingerlings. I gently put them into the pond, and they swam away quickly.
Feeding the fish was easier than the pigs. I just threw some fish food into the pond every day. But I had to keep an eye on the water quality. Sometimes, I had to add some clean water to the pond to keep it fresh.

As time went on, I noticed some interesting things. The pigs’ manure could be used as fertilizer for the pond. It helped the growth of the plankton in the water, which was a natural food for the fish. And the fish waste also enriched the soil around the pond, which I could use to grow some vegetables.
After a few months, the pigs were big enough to be sold. I took them to the local market and got a good price for them. And the fish were also growing well. I caught some of them for my family to eat, and they tasted really good.
So, raising pigs and fishes together was really a great idea. It not only gave me some extra income but also made my farm more productive. I’m really happy with this experience, and I’ll keep doing it in the future.
