You know, life throws curveballs. Sometimes you’re just chugging along, minding your own business, and then something happens, and you suddenly find yourself looking into stuff you never thought you’d care about. Like, really digging in. For me, recently, it was all about these Pisces months, the exact dates and all that jazz.
It all started, I guess, with my kid. Yeah, my youngest. She’s got this friend, right? And this friend, bless her heart, she’s a real dreamer. Always off in her own world, drawing little fairies and talking to trees. Nice kid, but totally different from my own who’s more of a bulldozer. She’s a Pisces, right?”
Now, I’m not really one for all that horoscope stuff, never have been. But when your kid asks, and she’s looking at you with those big, earnest eyes, you try to give her an answer. But I realized, I didn’t actually know for sure. I had a rough idea, sure, but not the precise start and end dates. And my kid, she wanted precision. She wanted to know if Sarah was a “true” Pisces, whatever that means to an eight-year-old.
So, I thought, “Alright, no big deal.” I figured I’d just, you know, find it out quick. But then it became a thing. You ask around, you hear different things. Some folks would say it starts late February, others would be like, “Nah, it’s always March.” And I was sitting there, trying to explain it to a kid who just wanted a straight answer, and I was getting all these wiggly responses. That’s it. Those are the dates. February 19th to March 20th. Simple, right? But it took me a minute to really just nail that down in my head. And once I had it, I could tell my kid, “Yeah, Sarah’s a Pisces, no doubt about it.” And she was happy. And I was, dare I say, a little satisfied myself. Like I’d solved a small, insignificant puzzle that for some reason kept pestering me.
Why do I even bother sharing this? Well, you know how it is. Sometimes you go through something, even something small, and you feel like you learned a little bit. And maybe someone else out there is wondering the same thing. Or maybe they just appreciate hearing about someone else’s little detours in life. We all have ’em, right? Sometimes it’s a big, life-changing event that shakes everything up, and sometimes it’s just trying to figure out if your kid’s friend is a “true” Pisces. That’s just how it goes.
