Alright, let me share my experience of shuffling tarot cards. First off, I got my brand – new tarot card deck. It was all neatly packed, and I was super excited to start this new thing.
I took the cards out of the box. They felt a bit stiff at first, like they were not used to being moved around. I held the deck in my hands, and I could feel the energy of all those cards just waiting to be shuffled.
Step 1: Hold the Deck
I held the deck in one hand, kind of like I was holding a bunch of papers. It was important to hold it firmly but not too tight. I didn’t want to bend or damage the cards. I remember thinking, “Okay, this is the start of the magic.”

Step 2: Split the Deck
With my other hand, I started to split the deck into two parts. It was a bit tricky at first because the cards were sticking together. But after a few tries, I managed to separate them into two uneven piles. It was like separating a group of friends into two smaller groups.
Step 3: Cross the Piles
I then took one pile and crossed it over the other pile. The cards kind of tumbled over each other. It looked a bit messy, but that’s the whole point of shuffling, right? To mix things up. I did this a couple of times, making sure the cards were getting well – mixed.
Step 4: Riffle Shuffle
Next, I tried the riffle shuffle. I held the two piles at the edges and let the cards fall into each other one by one. It was like a waterfall of cards. Some cards didn’t fall right, and they flew out a bit, but I just gathered them up and tried again. After a few good riffle shuffles, the cards were really jumbled up.
Step 5: Reassemble and Cut
Finally, I reassembled the deck into one pile. Then I cut the deck one more time. I just took a chunk from the top and put it at the bottom. And that was it! I had successfully shuffled the tarot cards.
It might sound easy, but it took me a few tries to get the hang of it. But now, every time I shuffle the tarot cards, I feel like I’m starting a new adventure. And who knows what the cards will reveal after a good shuffle?
