So, I decided to do a new year tarot spread. First, I got my tarot deck ready. I just grabbed it from the drawer where I usually keep it. It’s an old friend, you know?
Then, I found a quiet spot in my room. I cleared the table and sat down. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down. I was kind of excited to see what the cards had to say about the new year.
Next, I shuffled the cards. I shuffled them real good, like I was mixing up all the possibilities for the year ahead. I shuffled until I felt like it was time to stop.
After that, I laid out the cards according to the spread. I followed the 5 – step process I had read about. One by one, I placed the cards on the table. It was like building a little story with each card.

Once the cards were all laid out, I started to interpret them. I didn’t rely on some fancy book or anything. I just looked at the pictures and thought about what they could mean for my new year. For example, if there was a card with a happy – looking person, I thought it might mean good times were coming. If there was a stormy – looking card, well, I guessed there might be some challenges.
Finally, I wrote down my interpretations in a little notebook. I wanted to remember what I thought at that moment. It’s like having a little record of my hopes and fears for the new year.
Doing this new year tarot spread was really fun. It made me think about the year ahead in a different way. It’s not like the cards are going to tell me exactly what’s going to happen, but it gives me something to think about and maybe even plan for. Who knows, maybe it’ll help me make the new year even better!
