Hey, guys! Today I’m gonna share how I tackled the problem of “33.3 of 12 in math problems”.
First off, I was kinda confused when I saw this problem. I mean, what does “33.3 of 12” even mean? I scratched my head for a bit, trying to remember what I learned in math class. Then I realized that “of” in math usually means multiplication. So I guessed I needed to multiply 33.3 by 12.
I didn’t have a calculator handy at first, so I decided to do it the old – fashioned way. I wrote down 33.3 and 12 on a piece of paper. I started by multiplying 333 (I just ignored the decimal point for now) by 12. I did 333 times 2 first, which is 666. Then I did 333 times 10, which is 3330. I added these two results together: 666 + 3330 = 3996.

But then I remembered that I had ignored the decimal point in 33.3. Since there is one digit after the decimal point in 33.3, I moved the decimal point one place to the left in 3996. So the result was 399.6.
Just to make sure I was right, I finally found my calculator and punched in 33.3 12. And guess what? It showed 399.6! I was so relieved. I felt like I had just cracked a little math code.
So, that’s my whole process of solving this math problem. It might seem easy for some of you, but for me, it was a small victory. And it just goes to show that even if you don’t have all the tools at hand, you can still figure things out with a bit of thinking and good old – fashioned pen and paper!
